POSITION OBJECTIVE

Acts as a lead worker for other employees including training, daily work assignment and review, and input into performance reviews. Coordinates equipment and supply purchase and distribution. Incumbents assist supervisors in the performance of work duties and with special projects and assignments. Incumbents also perform the work of Facilities Services Specialists.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)

  1. Prioritizing and assigning work; project coordination principles and practices.
  2. Troubleshooting systems related to area of assignment.
  3. Maintaining and procuring inventory and supplies.
  4. Performing Multiple tasks simultaneously.
  5. Coordinating projects; preparing a variety of business documents and forms.
  6. Facilitating group discussions; analyzing situations to define issues and draw valid conclusions.
  7. Gathering, collating and/or classifying data; solving problems.
  8. Interpreting and applying applicable laws, codes and standards.
  9. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: (positions in this class typically require):

High School Diploma, or G.E.D., specialized training and experience related to area of assignment and three years of relevant maintenance experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

 

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: (positions in this class typically require):

Licensing Requirements:

·         Valid Arizona Driver’s License.

 

Some positions may require:

·         Pesticide Applicator’s License;

·         Freon Certification.

·         CFC

·         CDL, Class A

·         ASE Certifications

 

KNOWLEDGE: (position requirements at entry):

Knowledge of:

·         Procedures, practices, and methods related to area of assignment;

·         Tools, equipment, and materials relevant to area of assignment;

·         Safety procedures;

·         Inventory principles;

·         Applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes, and standards;

·         Record keeping principles;

·         Mathematical principles, including algebra and geometry;

·         Project coordination principles and practices;

·         Safe work practices

·         Reading blueprints, schematics, drawings, and/or construction drawings;

·         Maintaining and procuring inventory and supplies;

·         Performing multiple tasks simultaneously;

·         Coordinating projects;

·         Preparing a variety of business documents and forms;

·         Facilitating group discussions;

·         Analyzing situations to define issues and draw valid conclusions;

·         Gathering, collating, and/or classifying data;

·         Solving problems;

·         Performing mathematical calculations, including algebra and geometry;

·         Interpreting and applying applicable laws, codes, and standards;

·         Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general                public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

 

Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of forces constantly to move objects.

 

Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, and intense noises.

Return To Work Retirees will have an hourly rate approximately 9% lower than listed below without falling below minimum wage.
